Yes it is  :P

Is there an "expert" at the Stirling Show? Where happy to have a name for this diamond of a rock garden plant.
Because trees and shrubs are my job and so every new cultivar is a piece forward in the plant world.
Uli, I have just heard from Stan da Prato, who exhibited the Cryptomeria.... he tells me " it is C. japonica spiralis which I am told is sometimes called 'granny’s ringlets' "

Thank you for the answer Maggi, but this plant can not be 'Spiralis'. This is a upright cultivar, with sprouts of 10-15 cm per year. The plant in the show is a other dwarf species. Maybe it is 'Pygmea', but have not seen it by myself only on pictures.

Thanks, Uli, I'm sure the grower will be interested to hear this. It was the name under which he received the plant, I am sure.... another mis-naming! :-\
