Not bored at all Mark.  I had no idea they could live that long, you tend to think of the small insectivorous ones at least as being like winged mice with similar short life spans.

You need to tell them to stop letting the birds feed off the ground like that. The options are to move the feeders daily or put something on the ground that can be dumped ebery day.

To stop spilt seeds I cover the holes with selotape and put a tiny hole through it to make a tiny beak sized hole. Check it ever few days because the goldies will make the holes bigger
