Mark some beautiful pictures I do like Persicaria Pale / Persicaria lapathifolia, what an amazing array of plants no wonder Ireland is such a beautiful place.

Hi Paul,
Yes some of us grow different forms.
There are distinct differnces between western and eastern european populations, very obvious in the width of the leaves.
The eastern populations have I think been accorded sub specific status.
Within the species there is also a wide range of colouring from darker pinks to alba forms and varying degrees of veining on the 'wings'.
To my eye the white with light pink forms are the most attactive.
