Query - where can I see Crocus sativus in gardens
« on: October 03, 2009, 09:39:07 AM »
An enquiry I received - can you help?

Dear Tony- I am looking to film Crocus sativus for the Christmas special of the series and wondered if you knew anywhere we could film this plant flowering in a garden setting? I would be most grateful for any help you could offer.

Thanks very much

Isnt there a saffron farm in Wales? Tony you could plant a pot in your garden.

Tony, this is what I offered to bring for you from here, there are still some Crocus sativus around, would you like a few?  I have planted a small group in my raised bed hoping in years to come to have some Saffron   ::)

Can't remember exact gardens where they are pictured - only countries.
