Lilium lophophorum
« on: October 07, 2009, 06:26:50 PM »
I collected seeds from Lilium lophophorum today and I'm willing to share some. I've had it for years and I think this is the first seed has set.

I'm also looking for a bulb or two to help with cross pollination

Might be able to help with a bulb Mark but too late now. It wouldn't be until they die down in several months time. (Not up yet but on the way.) I have seedlings of the "good" form - as I see it - with wider petals but my bulbs are of the form var. linearifolium, with narrower petals. (Or is it liniarioides?) And you'd have to do the hemisphere thing. But this form sets good seed every year with no intervention from me.

Thanks John and Lesley. I googled it and found a forum member has some. My birthday is rolling in fast so I might request the loan of a card. Same person has some other goodies I would like. Dreams how much I might be allowed for my birthday
