I quite often find fasciated stems of this species; thick, flattened double stems and chunky, wide flower heads.

Hello!
Sorry for not responding and updating, but I have been busy at work and the (northen) wind has been weary strong this spring/summer. But here are some images from the Artic-Alpine Botanical garden in Tromsø earlier this month.

First is Primula palmata, it's a not to often seen species and it can bee a little bit shy in flower, but when it flower it's a beauty
The second image is of a really new plant with us, it's Primula longipetiolata, a really beautiful species!

Viggo, I really like Primula longipetiolata, the colour is wonderful, the palmata leaves almost looks like a geranium.

Beautiful plants both. The foliage is special isn't it, on both species. That lovely long reddish stripe and the geranium-like leaves too. Where have these species been all my life? They are both entirely new to me.
