Hi All, here temperatures are above 30°C and the blooming is going fast. Here two pictures of Scadoxus multiflorus var. multiflorus. The first I took yesterday, the second this evening.

I'm also happy for this old hybrid - I have it searched for a long time .
The flower looks for me more like a S.katherinae typ ....but in winter it is not evergreen .

Interestingly, I have a shoot currently starting here on Scadoxus puniceus 'Magnificus' (I don't think the name is valid anymore, but whatever it is it appears different to the straight species I ahve seen elsewhere).  The red shoot is about 2 inches tall at the moment, but I think thick enough to be a scape, not just a growth shoot.  I think it is a bit early from memory, although I am fairly sure it has flowered very early in previous years too.
