Tasmanian dicot key online
« on: November 21, 2006, 06:01:25 AM »
The 60th seedlist includes a lot of seeds that were collected in Tasmania.  Many were totally unfamiliar to me, so I have spent a lot of time on Google Images seeing what they look like.

I discovered a great website - an easy to use key to Tasmanian plants - developed by the University of Tasmania. It is a visual key, and you just have to click your way through it.  No need to have
a dictionary of botanic terms that you need for wordy keys.

Diane,

Definitely interesting for those Tassie natives.  Not that much information out there about much of the indigenous Tasmanian flora, so definitely a valuable resource if it allows easier keying.
Cheers.

Min winter temp -8 or -9°C. Max summer temp 40°C. Thankfully, maybe once or twice a year only.
