If you mean this one in Stan's photo - the winner of the RS Masteron prize for the best Asiatic Primula.....

 - it is Primula bracteata var bracteata
If you meant another, please say which pic/post  it's in so I can try to help!

Hmmm, thinking you perhaps meant this one? It's in Class 47, for one pan primula, own hybrid.

I think it may be called 'Spring Cheer' but I'm contacting Cyril to ask him!

Some info from Cyril : " The primula hybrid is ‘Spring Cheer’.  It received a PC last year at the Glasgow show and I was asked to name it.  I asked Carole (Bainbridge) at the Perth show if she had any confirmation about the name but she had not heard yet and was going to enquire.  I attach the notes card that was shown with the plant and a photo of the plant I took the day before."

Thanks, Stan and Cyril for the help.
Hope that's what you needed  to know, Lawrence!

Thanks very much Maggi, Stan and Cyril, a quick and comprehensive reply as always.
What a fabulous plant as well ( looks like there are plenty of cuttings on the plant as well 😜)

Thanks to Carol Shaw, I've been told about a great report about Cyrill Lafong and the Perth Show, in yesterdays "Courier" paper....
"Fife rock gardener lifts record 65th ‘best in show’ award at Perth

Cyril Lafong's dominance of the alpine growing world continued when Perth hosted Scotland's biggest show"

Read more about the show, with some great photos, from Show Secretary's talk with journalist Morag Lindsay, here:  https://www.thecourier.co.uk/fp/news/perth-kinross/4957867/cyril-lafong-rock-garden-show-perth-winner/

Some photos from the article

Congrats to Alsion Hogg for getting this great publicity for the SRGC and the Perth Show!!
