Alberto - I have the Lachenalia coming out of my ears, maybe 200 in 4 pots. They are just getting ready to open.  If you need any (summer or late spring when dormant) let me know.

johnw  - bloody cold here - -18c last night and only recovered to -12c at 1pm today.

I have this Gethyum growing... thanks to Hans!  :-*  Not sure if it will make flowers this year, but  it is growing!

Lovely plant, this Gethyum atropurpureum Hans.
Never heard of before.
Lachenalia are easy, just not water them overhead.

Hi Hans,

wonderful Gethyum, I love this dark colour.
Be careful with Lachenalia - some time ago I had some and as there are a lot of varieties with a lot of nice colours you can easily be infected of the Lachenalia-Collecting-Virus...

Funny you should say that, Renate .....I have just spoken with my doctor... she says she think she sees in me the beginnings of a Clivia-collecting-virus, caused by exposure to your photos, here..    :o 8)

 ;D  Renate, you are most kind, but, no, thank you , I will not succumb to your temptation! I have to admit (and I will say this very quietly, becasue it is very embarrassing....) the clivias that I have are looking very bad! They are too neglected and it is all my fault  :-[ I must give these ones better care before I risk a baby! These plants are in a cold part of the house and never get regular care now, as they did in former years....  mea culpa  :-[ :-[ :'(
So, you see, I have no choice but to fight the virus on my own  ::)
