Inspite of several hard frosts I was amazed at how early some of our shrubs are flowering, especially Hamamelis Orange Peel.

CORREA IVORY BELLS
 DAPHNE BHOLUA DARJEELING
 EUPHORBIA CHARACIAS WULFENII
 HAMAMELIS MOLLIS WISLEY SUPREME
 HAMAMELIS ORANGE PEEL
 IBERIS SEMPERFLORENS
 LONICERA SETIFERA
 NANDINA DOMESTICA FIRE POWER

That's brightened up my evening.
And mine, too, Anthony! What a pleasant trip to  South Wales!  I hope you'll be treating us to lots more of these super photos, Luddite?

The Correa is so nice, I  don't think I know anyone growing it in my area (Aberdeen)
I will edit you post, Luddite, to show the plant names in the text because otherwise the search engine doesn't pick up on them.

By the way, do we have to call you "Luddite" ? It doesn't exactly trip off the tongue, does it?  ::)

Great pics.  Lovely to see the Correa, so far from it's origins here in Aus.
Cheers.

Hi Anthony, Maggie and Paul. Glad you enjoyed the pics.
How very kind of you to type in all the names Maggie. I will know in future what to do!
Would you prefer my other name that I use "Silver surfer"?  I started 2 years ago as a very reluctant, complete ignoramous computer user. Now I am completely hooked. With both the computer and digital cameras it is just all AMAZING!!!!
Do you remember Donald Rumsfelds saying? February 2002.........

As we know there are known knowns,
There are things we know we know.
We also know there are known unknowns.
That is to say.
We know there are some things we do not know,
But there are also unknown unknowns..
The ones we don't know we don't know.

How everyone at the time mocked him. Well, I think he has described perfectly me and the computer world!!!!!

Paul, we love Correa and grow several, they flower here for such a long time.

Bless you, Luddite, I didn't have to type the names though, there's a way I can copy and paste them from the attachment list .....I can do it... but I can't explain it!

I have not been using computers for very long myself......just about 6 years with internet access, I think,  ...... now, of course, the average 7 year old has greater years of experience than that.... :P

I must say I was thinking of a simpler name -   lots have their sign-on names but allow us an easier version for "conversation", so to speak... I was thinking of, say George, or Hilda  ::)

Well, since you ask.....for myself, I like Mathilda..... it's what my Dad often called me!

Is that as a name or a partner, Anne?  ::)

When we were looking through baby names for our first, my husband thought Xenophon sounded really good. My son should be eternally grateful he got James instead!

If you had named him that I would have suspected you of being an avid reader of Australian politics as we have a senator by that (last) name!

Luddite,
I love to see those wych-hazels!
cheers
