Hi Len, Have you been to one of the meetings at St Chads church hall in Far Headingly the West Yorkshire group of the AGS? They meet at on the second Saturday of the month at 2.30 pm, I think the next meeting is in September. They have an alpine nursery visiting each month and have plant sales from members too. You often see Dionysia, amongst other unusual plants. If you would like to meet other folks with similar interests it's a good place to start, they have a monthly talk and a good book stall. If you get there early you can have a good root through the pick of the plants..
I second Ger Van Den Beuken, he has a great selection!

I know at least two growers close to Munich, Germany, so if you happen to be around here some day send me a PM :-)
One of them also sends plants via mail, but I know nothing about his reputation, so I think it would be best to go there & have a look. The only thing I (think I) know about this genus is that they have to be transplanted when they are very small....

Lenny, take Rudi's advice if possible, and visit the nurseries/growers, if you possibly can rather than having them sent. In my (admittedly limited) experience, Dionysias hate to be enclosed in a parcel, even for a single day.

Just like to thank everyone for their replies - it was so nice to get such a good response.

Mickeymuc - Re: Munich - I have already bought plants from Josef Mayr which were mostly satisfactory but would like to see before i buy again and if I am ever in your area I will pm you - thanks.

Rudy - I will write to Gert Stoop as you have suggested - thanks for the info.

Tony Lee - I will gladly take up your offer, would love to see your set up etc and will email you to arrange something - thanks.
