I remember reading someplace about Daffodils and Honey bees. Seems they don't care for tall Daffodils pollen, or maybe it's newer hybrids? I don't know much about them, will look come Spring to see if Honey bees are on the mini Daffodils.

Found this site with a plausible explanation why modern daffs have no attraction for honey bees. Plant breeders look to produce flowers that satisfy a human need only. I am guilty of this with my hellebore breeding but at least the bees still find the l pollen attractive, in fact the bees often beat me to the pollen shed which can be frustrating but never the less feeds a need.
