Discover  Scottish Gardens - lots  of  snowdrop events  to enjoy .....

Snowdrop Festival blossoms around Scotland

Winter will soon give way to spring and snowdrops have started to bloom across Scotland, carpeting the country with this popular flowering plant. The Scottish Snowdrop Festival runs until 11 March, with 35 of Scotland’s finest gardens, woodlands, and estates welcoming visitors and galanthophiles alike.

Properties including the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh; Attadale Gardens in Wester Ross; Culzean Castle & Country Park in South Ayrshire; Dunvegan Castle & Gardens on the Isle of Skye; and Logan Botanic Garden in Stranraer will host over 70 walks, talks and activities to show off swathes of snowdrops to visitors. Click here for the full article and event details.

Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh celebrates 350 years

The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh will mark its 350th anniversary by undertaking a year-long programme of events and activities to celebrate its historic collections, its national and international achievements and to highlight the growing need to protect the world’s plants.  The global challenges of the climate crisis and biodiversity loss will provide the focus of the organisation’s effort for years to come.
