RESULTS OF THE TWICE-YEARLY SRGC PHOTOGRAPHIC AND ART COMPETITION

CLASS 1 (Photographic print of rock plant)
1st Carolyn McNab, Borgue. Erythronium “Franz Hals”.

CLASS 2 (Photographic print of an alpine landscape or habitat)
1st Carolyn McNab, Garrigue (with Phlomis), Crete.

CLASS 5 (Piece of artwork or craftwork inspired by a rock plant/alpine habitat)
1st Carolyn McNab, Gentian in ribbon patchwork and applique.

There were no entries in Class 3 and Class 4.

The winner of Class 5 (Carolyn McNab) can re-exhibit her winning entry, where it will be judged against the winner of Class 5 at the AGM, for the Williamson Cup.
It was great to see a new painting of goldfinches brought by Anne Chambers for us all to see, as well as bringing some cards along for sale. It all helps to add interest to the show hall.

The next competition will be on 9th November at the Autumn festival & AGM (in Scone).

At the moment the cumulative results (starting spring 2017) are Carolyn McNab 8 firsts, Margaret Fraser 2, Anne Chambers 2, Ian Christie, 2, Ann Sinclair 2, Sheila Sadd, 1. The bronze Art Merit Medal will be awarded to those getting 10 firsts.
Margaret Young in Aberdeen, North East Scotland Zone 7 -ish!
