? Lonicera
« on: May 26, 2019, 02:52:51 PM »
This has been puzzling me for years.  It is a shrub growing out of a pile of brushwood in my ponies' field.  Last year I posted a pic of the fruits and someone suggested it might be a Lonicera.  This is the first time I have seen it flowering.  Not very exciting.  Presumably the seed was dropped by a bird.  Sorry for the blurry picture taken in the rain today.

Foliage  is  not  very lonicera-like, to my eye.    Is there an exaggerated calyx ? Looks  like there are two flowers per  calyx??
