comparing N. bicolor and N. mochatus, share a common feature, they have a short perianth tube 1cm aprox

Thank you for these stunning views. Very interesting creme form of poeticus and also I am glad to note the environment in which Fritillaria pyrenaica grows. (+ yellow variety of this!).

Is N. poeticus protected in Switzerland?

I’ve been searching for information about protection and, as far as I can find out, they aren’t protected (other than the general Swiss protection which limits commercial exploitation of natural flora and fauna).
Furthermore, it seems that it’s largely voluntary action by the farmers not to cut the fields (for hay/silage) too early in the spring so that the Narcissus can thrive. Adjacent fields can have either none or thousands of flowers, so they are clearly being managed differently.
Finally, there are signs asking visitors not to pick “too many” flowers, so it’s gratifying that I’ve never seen anyone picking them.
