New alpine area in garden
« on: October 19, 2018, 07:55:06 AM »
Started work on a small alpine area in my garden, already made two stone troughs plus mixed and spread the compost, going to put a layer of grit over the area once all the leaves from surrounding trees have fallen and been collected, need a few more rocks !! Any comments / help appreciated :) Planning to plant up in the spring.

That looks like a good site for alpines Graham I like the slope and the inclusion of troughs, I would agree that more rocks would be good.

Your troughs look great, Graham! I have no expertise with alpine gardens, but I like how you’re blending this into the rest of your garden. It feels like it will fit nicely.
Have fun with it!
