A small group from  Penicuik Hort Soc once again mounted a fine display in the floral hall -this time about hedgehog conservation

I think the butterflies with aubergine bodies on the Veg. display are great fun - best use I can think of for an aubergine!

Penicuik Hort. Society's  Hedgehog Paradise is  super - we're seeing fewer of these prickly garden helpers each year,  more's the pity.

Wow!  Fantastic- what great work from the Gang!  Excellent coverage  on Beechgrove TV  with Ian the Christie Kind  and Carole Baxter - best coverage the Club has ever had before Gardening Scotland,  I think.

Just watched Beechgrove Garden . Yep Maggi it was a really good advert for the club. Ian looked so relaxed but I suppose he is a professional.
Can’t wait to see the stand tomorrow, so much hard work goes into this .

Well done to the team that put the stand together, it’s just perfect. Worth all the hard work and thought put into it. Wish my flowers could be so perfect.
Just having a cake a coffee and enjoying the day.

Brilliant work from the small -but very dedicated, SRGC Team who achieve this  fantastic result! I wonder if the fact that two of the  main members, Peggy Anderson and  Richard Green,  a previous and present Treasurer of the SRGC are so involved is a key to the  attention to detail that is so  successful?   Nothing gets past those two sets of eagle eyes!

So proud of you all, especially  Rob, Stan, Peggy, Richard, Ian -TV Star Christie- and Sandy. So much work before, during and after - you are ACE!!! Hope everyone helping out  over the show has a great time.

On behalf of the judges Colin Crosbie fed us back some very complimentary comments about plant quality, balance of the stand, the educational side attention to detail and colour combinations. He  asked  these  be passed on to all who helped.
Now for some closer views of plants esp. the smaller ones. I think all the growers  who contributed  plants have already been mentioned  except  Watt Russell whose  Physoplexis   attracted great interest.
