Sliced Dactylorhiza

In a hurry to move around some plants this evening I sliced my only Dactylorhiza (alpestris)

Is there something I could do with these pieces? Thanks and no jokes please, I'm very upset.

really hit very unfavorable    my condolences!
average sprinkle with charcoal powder, plants and pray .....
Dactylorhiza luckily is a rather robust nature and has the ability to drive replacement bulbs.
I'll keep my fingers crossed

Replant both bits, Gabriela, I would expect them both to grow. When I split my clumps of dacts that often happens and I rarely lose any bits.

What has happened is the food storage of the tuber has been removed from the feeder roots. That's my observation but could be wrong. I think the tuber fingers anchor the plant and the upper roots go out to feed. It could be OK

Replant both part - with luck you'll get two plants.  These tubers are rather fragile and this sort of accident can happen very easily.

The Searched feature worked very well and I would like to show my little sliced Dactylorhiza which last year put up only one leaf and went dormant fast, I though it gone for good.
But, here it is this year!
