many thanks  to the NE group for all  their work and especially  to Peter  for his organisation  in his last show as secretary - he tells me has done 11 years so  time to pass on the baton. Just one example of the way members pull together at these events  is that the hall was  clear with an hour of the show closing.

What a fantastic show!  Best we've seen for a while, I think.  A tremendous amount of work from Stan to take and prepare the photos for us to enjoy - thanks, Stan!

Thanks Stan, for a very comprehensive report. You've pictured plants there the I overlooked at the time - I suppose there were a few other things I had to do on the day. 

It turned out to be a very relaxed, pleasant show for my last time as show secretary. I did have a lot of apprehension about the Council's new car parking arrangements before the show and whether it would cause us problems, but in the event, everything went very smoothly. If anyone did have any car parking issues, please let me know, as we are already thinking ahead to next year's show.

I'd like to thank all the people who have helped out over the past few years, both local group members and those from further afield, who have made my task so much easier. Hopefully, Angus who is taking over from me will be as lucky. And a big thank to all the exhibitors who put so much effort in cultivating an amazing array of plants before getting up at ridiculous hours of the early morning to drive to Hexham with them year after year: a lovely bunch of people.

I had time for a few photographs when the show quietened down later in the afternoon, and will post a few when they've been downloaded from the camera.
