I am sorry, I have to write English again: I said that madges are nice birds and are also very intelligent...

Process of elimination...... little birds twittering in ears, and the talk of clever Magpies who steal pretty things..... I am not a Maggi Magpie for nothing!!  I spend quite a lot of time looking for really good snowdrop earrings... and, as my Father liked to say, the Greeks always have a word for it!
 So : σκουλαρίκι = "skoulariki" =ear-ring ? Fascinating!
