Cevennes mountains
« on: July 12, 2015, 09:03:12 PM »
For one week i'm exploring moutains all around Cevennes, in the Tanargue hills.
Each year i try to visit new areas in search of Epipactis. Long walks let you admire the landscapes. This year temperatures are quiet warm, 40°c.

I've found some nice form and subspecies of Epipactis (minor, exilis)

{edit by maggi - I have rotated the last photo which had turned sideways!]

When you reach the high mountains, the soil is becoming acid. The water is contained on sandstone funds and bogs are very broad.
You can walk on heathers during long hours.
