Order done successfully :). For once I succeeded with not problem, perhaps because I now have electronic membership. Earlier my last name had been a problem, and Maggi has had to help me, but now I managed all by myself. :) It will be exciting to wait for January and to see what seeds I get.

Hello Tatsuo - I wonder if you changed or added a number at the last moment and did not click  ? That may be the answer.

Thank you for quick reply as usual, Maggi :)
Perhaps my English is not good and you cannot get what I say exactly.

I received an automatic return e-mail from SRGC with 24 plant names as my FIRST CHOICE when I fixed my order finally. I think my order has been finished and paid yet.
Then, I logged out from seed exchange page and cleaned the cookies and temporally internet files from my PC, then logged in my seed page again.
All 25 boxes of my FIRST CHOICE are still filled now. If I forgot to click "update" as you pointed out, I might find an empty box with 24 boxes filled with code numbers there?

Dear Tatsuo, I do not know.  Some  minor  hitch.  I expect the seed team will choose you 25 items as best they can.

Maggi,

i've been waiting for the validation email and checked my spam folder but nothing found. Is there an issue with the smtp server?

Received, the server is certainly busy

Thank you Maggi, you are right, it was in an earlier post.  Sorry for bothering you, still suffering some Chemo Mist.

Some  points of note  when using the Seed Exchange online system

It is most important to note that a new registration MUST be made each year - old log in details will not work. (Your details are not kept online from year to year)

Please do not pay before making an online request.  You must order first then pay.

Only use the direct route to payment if you are paying for a request sent by post.

Surplus Seed applications must be made and paid for at the same time as making your initial allocation request.

Another few points:

Please read and understand the instructions first. We have gone to a great deal of trouble to make things as foolproof as possible, but this only works if the instructions  are read before the clicking begins. They are on every page of the seed exchange  site at every step in the process.

For example, if members are trying to pay before they order their seed this can only mean they are not reading the instructions.

Please do not overwhelm Maggi or other members of the seed team with requests for support as a first resort.

The system is working really well, over 60 members have already ordered and paid for their seed since it opened this afternoon.

I'm still debating whether to order or not.  I've got so many pots waiting to be pricked off and plants waiting to be planted out :-\  I've been marking seeds in the SRG and AGS paper seed lists.  I know if I go on to the electronic ones I am lost.

Same here, I have dozens of pots with seedlings which need repotting next year + my own seeds to sow ... I made the promise to myself not to order seeds this year, but browsing through the seedlist makes my fingers itch to order some ...

OK, some of you might think the current SeedEx pages are fine, but, to be honest, they get more and more confusing each year.  Refining them down to what one needs to do and know to order and making the task of simply placing an order more straight foreward (as to say on a single webpage for this task ONLY!) would be of a great help.  Frankly, I do not have the time to read through a couple of pages to finally find the required link.  It is extremely frustrating.  Please, someone reconsider this for the next SeedEx.

While we are on it, I have long lost my membership card, thus the number, and reregistering each season is another item that the website should 'remember'.

cheers,

Years ago I learned my lesson.  If you have an address book on your computer and have societies entered with contact info it's a fine spot to enter your membership number for retrieval.
