Those are King Parrots (Alisterus scapularis) from Australia!
We saw them at Maple Glen in NZ as well, but they don't occur around this part of Victoria, at least I've never seen them here.

Last Saturday the Cottage Garden Society held their snowdrop day at Tuxford Academy followed by visits to two lovely gardens.  The hall in which the sale was held was vast and really spread people out.

Both gardens for the CGS day were lovely.  It was a pity that the weather wasn't.  As it was raining at the first garden, The Beeches at Milton, the opportunity for pictures was reduced.  After the garden we visited the Milton Mausoleum almost next door which was built by the 4th Duke of Newcastle for his wife Georgiana. Almost the Taj Mahal of Nottinghamshire.
