As always, the event will be accompanied by expert advice free of charge with many gardeners on site, several clubs and associations and the plant expert Peter Bartos.

Herbal soups and food from the region, fair-trade coffee and cake treats add to the potential discoveries : creative gardening and play furniture, craft accessories and fine garden equipment will all be showcased.

and in France:

Spring Plant Fair at Saint-Jean de Beauregard

"On 10, 11 and 12th of April, the Spring Plant Fair at Saint-Jean de Beauregard (South of Paris 2 km from Les Ulis) will highlight more than ever botanic excellence and herald the start of a new horticultural season. Over 200 of the most renowned plant and gardening experts will gather at this unique event, bringing you the best in European plant-growing and outdoor-living. Top plant-growing nurseries will be on hand to give you valuable gardening advice and share with you the latest varieties, their plant collections and rare plant species. The theme of this year will be « wetlands », the opportunity to learn more about moderately to constantly humid soils, to discover riverside plants as well as aquatic species and to debate with the specialized nurserymen Eric Lenoir and Dominique Brochet-Lanvin. Some of the highlights of these three days will include the baptism of the new fuchsia ‘Saint-Jean de Beauregard’ created by Jean-Marc Huot. There will also be the traditional award and prize-giving ceremony for the most remarkable plants.

Also on the program will be a host of other plant-related events, childrens’ workshops, conferences with Alan Baraton, who will share his gardening tips, Hugues Peuvergne and his famous garden sheds, Michel Damblant and the world tour in his garden, Jean-Paul Collaert and surprising wine-case gardens, and finally Nicolas Bel and his urban rooftop kitchen gardens.

Come and join us to celebrate springtime in all its glory…  "

Both events look great but I would need a bit more notice in order to be able to visit.  I appreciate that constraint does not apply to all our membership.
Almost in Scotland.
