"Stirling" Show in KINCARDINE 21st March

Some plants round the show starting with a very nice cyclamen in section B then some of the open section with hardy succulent then primulas in variety- the big pot of P. Arduaine went forward for consideration for one of the awards.

and more - many from Cyril, some of the Ranuncs, 2 trios of Dionysias  finally Saxifrages.

The show has a section for art  and photos. There  was also a nice floral display in Class 100.

Class A attracted five entries so 30 small pots of colour on the bench. The first view along the bench includes Sandy's bulbs which I do not have a close up of.

Stan - thank you for the correction to my error with the Frit. gibbosa  in an earlier post - I have corrected it.

Well done to all the prize winners and indeed every exhibitor who contributed to this fine show of well-grown plants.

Congratulations, Stan on your own show success yesterday. Stan has brought us, once more, a most exciting overview and record of the show. And all this  on "the morning after" a day when he staged a large number of fine plants himself, liaised with the TV crew for the filming and also managed to take all these photos to share with us, then he has prepared them and posted them here for our pleasure and information.

An exceptional amount of work and dedication from Stan to bring us  these pictures -  I hope you all appreciate this effort as much as I do?

Narcissus 'Tinkerbell'




 The following pix are of  Narcissus moleroi show by them in 2007 and 2010 -




Can anyone help out with background of this 'Tinkerbell' ? ( There are two other narcissus registered with this name)   I  can, I hope  contact Margaret and Henry tomorrow to check with them.

Daffseek lists 2 cultivars with the name 'Tinkerbell', but neither of them bear any resemblance to this plant, one being a 2Y-Y and the other 6W-Y.

I think Margaret and Henry had the same pot at Kendal, it was an alpestris crossed with something (I can't remember what) and a very nice flower.
