Crocus banaticus
« on: October 26, 2014, 01:12:13 AM »
Hello Ian, and other Crocus experts. My Crocus banaticus is still not pushing through the soil. I'm in Ontario, Canada. They should have been blooming a while back. They are in a pot, and I checked recently, and all bulbs have a growth, but they're just sitting. Any ideas why? I grow them in part shade.

Thx.

Erika

Hello Erika

as long as there is sufficient moisture in the pot I would not worry.
We have some forms of Crocus banaticus that have not flowered yet.
Also if the corms are not going to flower this season it will be some time, even spring, before any growth appears above ground.

Thanks Ian. You're the best! Didn't know that about this crocus. I'll have to be a bit more patient.  :)
