Title: Liparis loeselii, Fen Orchid

Hello everybody

Who have experience wit invitro sowing Liparis loeselii
The seeds germinate well but didn’t grow further.
I sow on BM 1 and replay on 1/5 MS

use 1/2 MS & they grow better!

Orchid seed is minute and has no food reserves. Consequently, for success with orchid seed it is usually necessary to sow on artificial nutrient media (usually an agar with added nutrients). This is done under aseptic, laboratory conditions, or in a homemade HEPA unit like hospitals use. The BM and MS abbreviations are for different recipes of medium

Thank you Carlo. I guessed it was about agar, it was the abbreviations I would like to know. Also 1/2 (MS) half strength, diluted with water ?
