Title: In habitat:- Site 1 Dactylorhiza

The return to this industrial waste land site brings disappointment as orchid numbers are severly reduced.
Many plants are tiny, 10cms(4") but look like mature plants.
Others have the basal flowers out and the top of the inflorescence dead ( sorry no photos of this).

Fred did you check the top right hand side of the site for the small dark purple dacts,how are there numbers?

Dave all I could find were the ones in the centre section.
The big clumps are no more.
No sign of any purples  :(
