Hi Hassan,
whereabouts do you garden and under what conditions? Would you need a glass house for some of the African /Central American bulbs?

Hi Fermi
I am from Brunei and the climate is Ultra-Tropical
A glasshouse may be needed for Cool growing bulbs
:)

Well, I'd call it pleasantly tropical. There is that refreshing sea breeze.
And I saw roses growing in Sabah, so non-tropicals are certainly possible.
-
And the best production of Zephyranthes hybrids is in Indonesia

Hi All
Can anyone advise me how to raise Lilium formosanum & philippinense seeds in the Tropics?
I guess in the Tropics must have a special trick to treat them
A few years back I grow several seeds of Lilium under normal condition but with no success :(
Probably the seed is expired and needs to be fresh or Lilium itself is fussy when it comes
to growing condition?

Hassan,
I saw Lilium phillippinense growing on steep hillsides when I was
travelling by bus in the mountains of Luzon. I imagine it needs a well-drained
place.
According to Ed McRae, who hybridized lilies in Oregon, U.S.A.,
it grows very quickly and will flower in less than a year in a greenhouse.

Hello Hassan,
welcome to the forum.
I just checked the plantfinder and while it shoes one record for Calochortus purpureus, a the next page shows that the plant was last listed in 2004 so not a lot of chance of finding a supplier, I'm afraid.

Calochortus purpureus grows in mountains in Mexico.
Telos Rare Bulbs in California supplies a lot of calochortus
species, but not purpureus.
You may like to look at the list of calochortus they do have:
