Title: Aristolochia
Post by: Anthony Darby on July 23, 2010, 10:41:55 AM
Does anyone have any tropical aristolochias, in particular ringens, trilobata, indica or tagala going spare? It's a long shot, but someone is offering me eggs of the birdwing butterfly Ornithoptera priamus.

Only Aristolochia cymbifera at the moment Anthony.

Thanks Rogan. Not sure about that species. My contact says the caterpillars will eat Aristolochia clematitis (which I have), and that surprises me as they won't eat A. elegans.

A. cymbifera is quite close to A. ringens (...I think?) - I have much seed available for free and for nothing...   ;D
