Anyone interested in seeds of Sophora davidii, please send me a PM. I have lots of seeds left. The small bush is all covered with blue and white flowers in June and the bumblebees love the flowers.

I did not know this would grow in Sweden, Gunilla.... it must be hardier than I thought !
-
My Sophora is planted in a sheltered position against a southfacing brickwall and has survived for five years now.
-
In which case, Gunilla, it may survive here in Aberdeen.... I'll send you a pm!!

That are my exactly my minds - although my plant survived one winter outside!
I didn't expect so handsome flowers!

That was quick! It must have come to the right home ;)

Isn't it amazing! So quick to germinate, I wouldn't have thought it at this time of year........the seeds I have are just sleeping peacefully under the soil, in a comfortable pot, I hope waiting for Spring !
I showed Ian the pix.... said these are the seeds from Gunilla... he couldn't believe it .... we are most impressed.

One of mine just showing through this morning. That's amazing, considering how long - up to many years - our native Sophoras take. Gunilla sent me 20 seeds and I sowed 19, having bitten though one to see how how hard it was! It wasn't! I soaked them in water over night then sowed next morning.
Lots of things are germinating here at present - mid summer - including all my Crocus Group allocation which I sowed right away though advised on the forms to hold the seed until later (autumn/winter/spring?). I always try to sow as soon as possible after getting overseas seed, especially if it's already a few months old.
-
Lesley, I soaked half my seeds overnight too, and put them into a baggie with damp vermiculite on 7th.
-
All seeds are now sent out.

And already germinating well! I have 8 up this morning, pale green but doing nicely. It's mid summer here.

Too cold and wet for me to check.... but it is so nice to "see" you , Gunilla, by your photo!
