Her they are at my summer house a couple years ago. They have not showed themselves after that.

I have seen Monotropa hypopitys locally with the red stalks and unopened flowers.
I have never seen it open or turned white; and didn't recognize it as belonging to Ericaceae. Now I will try to collect some and grow it with my other woodland Ericaceae.  It grows in several locations less than a mile from me.
