Iris pumila is native in the hills around Vienna where I live and comes in many color forms. I also have some in my orchard, they grow readily in full sun and dry Loess soil.

Wrong picture of penstemon** attached with the post.
  The right one is here.

Iris potaninii

This iris was grown from seeds as dwarf from Russia, thank you Yann:). I got five plants from those seeds, and they germinated a year ago. I was surprised to see the first flowers already this year, in May. These are very nice short plants which flower early.

This is the dwarf bearded iris hybrid raised by Jean Stevens and named after her death for the town where she lived.
I'd labelled it 'Wanganui Gem' but I'm wondering if it should now be called 'Whanganui Gem'?

This oncocyclus iris hybrid was raised by Pat Toolan in South Australia. I received it from Marcus Harvey many years ago,
