Unfortunately, after the death of the respected Jan, his collection of cyclamen became inaccessible. Dear friends, if someone can help to find out if someone is selling seeds from these plants, I will be very grateful. If someone grows c. Purpurascens of different forms from Jan and can share - I will pay all the expenses that you incur. I'll make an advance payment, no problem. To my great regret, I have nothing to offer for an exchange, therefore, do not hesitate to bill for your services. Thankful in advance for all who can help.
Kind Regards, Orintia.

Dear David, thank you very much for the answer! I, too, do not have enough of Yan ... His widow reported that Jan's collection of cyclamens had been sent to the UK. My friends in this country have not yet found the traces of the collection. And Jan had the forms of Purpurascens of extraordinary beauty. I'm looking for them ... This site that you sent, i know, they sell seeds of the simplest form. But anyway, thank you very much.
Kind Regards,
Orintia

I checked with Melvyn Jope - he tells me that Jan's collection is distributed to various people around the UK. - I suspect any chance of seed from his plants rests now with the Cyclamen Society seedlist, if any appears there.

Thank you very much, Maggi! So, all the plants went to private individuals ... It's very sad. Seeking the famous С. Purpurasсens "Picco Rosso" ... . then I can not dream .. ..
Kind Regards, Orintia

Some of the plants are in National Collections - they have gone to good homes!
-
It is, of course, good that good plants have gone to worthy people. But how to be simple people ...

Seeking the famous С. Purpurasсens "Picco Rosso" ...
I see this was listed on Jan's last seedlist but I don't know this variety at all and Google doesn't show anything. Are there photos anywhere so we can see what it looks like?

Steve, foliage photos of Picco Rosso seem to be available:

Gordon, yes, this is it! But the Japanese do not sell seeds, they say that the laws of the country are forbidden to sell abroad ...

Always a pleasure to help find photos/sources online. I wonder if Ohgi Nursery (appears to be a wholesale nursery), would consider selling seed to interested parties. It was fascinating looking over their Hellebore, and Bulb Galleries. Bulbs there are largely South African in origin, for those who are interested.
-
In this Japanese nursery there are very few cyclamen for sale, and with seeds it is generally not clear, apparently, they do not sell.
Kind Regards, Orintia.

The entire collection of Jan Bravenboer's cyclamen plants are now being taken care of by Jo Hynes, Jo holds the National Collection of Cyclamen in England.
