Does anyone know much about Cotoneaster, particularly the dwarf ones.
I have a mat forming plant about 20 years old that I obtained as C.congestus,
I don't think it is. It has glossy green leaves without a blue tinge and red stems on
the new growth. Any thoughts ?

Hello,
I know the post is old but just noticed it. The cotoneaster looks very like on we grow. We have it named as Cotoneaster cochleatus minor . Ours tends to be fairly slow growing and very compact and prostrate with the ability to trail down or climb up small steps and walls.
Hope it helps
