Title: Rhodohypoxis.
Post by: Craig Gibbon on June 01, 2017, 08:58:05 PM
New member here! Thanks for the add.

My name is Craig and I'm a South African expat now living in Cork, Ireland.

I've recently started collecting Rhodohypoxis.

I believe that Rhodohypoxis rubella and R incompta are not in cultivation. Are there any members growing these two species?

Kind regards,

Craig Gibbon

Welcome Craig

I don't grow either of them but do have a lot of rhodohypoxis

I would be interested if anyone on here does?

Wife took this shot on her phone the other day - I have not had time to photograph any of them this year yet

Sorry Craig don't know either of those.  We used to have Rhodohypoxis Hebron Farm Biscuit (amongst others) for many years but I can't find it now. A pity because it was the first one we bought and I liked it a lot.

There are a few less that there was because I don't go in the buildings that often at this time a year and a mouse has had a very expensive dinner or two
:( Cat needs to get on it

There was about 50-60 named varieties - there are a lot of rhodoxis in there as well

Thing is they seem to name everything - and I buy anything I have not got if I see it - and I buy things I have already got if its a good pot full

There are quite a few doubles in there as well

I need to post some better photos next year of what is left - going to pack what's left away in a more secure building this weekend - just hope the mouse does not like agapanthus as there are a lot of them in that tunnel

If you have not seen this - this is what heaven looks like - just give it chance to page the pictures
