They look all healthy and pretty nice. Fermi i've used a NPK 5.5.60, same usage on my terrestrial orchids and they also look very dark this year. So i guess the fertiliser should have an effect on the plants. I use it at 1/2 of the prescribed dose.

Two forms of iris hoogiana, which does not bloom for me most years

Correction: I believe the photo labeled 'Deep Purple' is actually 'Purple Dawn'. Thanks John Baumfalk for the heads-up.

Super selection John.
Pinched this from Panayoti Kelaidis on Facebook......

"Iris gatesii, blooming today for John Baumfalk, fabulous irisarian in Newton, Kansas--emailed to me today! I grew this once--the flower is immense, and the coloration is heavenly, don't you think? "

Hi Steve. I'm afraid that isn't korolkowii. Looks like a hoogiana hybrid to me.

Here is my first oncocyclus to flower for 2017, PT0426, a complex interspecific hybrid onco by Pat Toolan. This plant was among the first lot of seed I embryo cultured in Feb 2015, and It's my first time flowering it. I'm impressed! It's a thing of beauty and the flowers are very large.

Hi Lawrence.  Brian Mathew's   "The Iris" has good suggestions for growing in England.
You could also contact Peter Taggert here on SRGC, he is knowledgeable on them.
I grow many here in Kansas USA  but my methods wouldn't work in humid England.
