Post by: Yann on April 07, 2017, 09:06:03 PM: They look all healthy and pretty nice. Fermi i've used a NPK 5.5.60, same usage on my terrestrial orchids and they also look very dark this year. So i guess the fertiliser should have an effect on the plants. I use it at 1/2 of the prescribed dose.

Iris kirkwoodiae -I changed this from kirkwoodii to kirkwoodiae as fermi has advised me that the Iris is named after Mrs Grace Kirkwood.

I re-checked the pot -the plant is labelled Iris hoogiana Antiope.

This plant was among the first lot of seed I embryo cultured in Feb 2015, and It's my first time flowering it. I'm impressed! It's a thing of beauty and the flowers are very large.

You could also contact Peter Taggert here on SRGC, he is knowledgeable on them.
I grow many here in Kansas USA but my methods wouldn't work in humid England.
