I just found these interesting papers:

Hi Poul,
Thanks for posting the link. Really interesting information even if it simply confirms some existing planting strategies. I'm not a botanist or plant scientist so others should read the article firsthand. But what I gained from it is that a large group of Mediterranean crocus germinate better if given warm - summer eqivalent stratification - in temps of up to 20 C - and that a number of species will not germinate if they are still in the light... (Photoinhibition). This did not apply to all species.

You are welcome. I think it is important to share as much knowlegde as possible how to get success in growing Crocus.
