Title: A March Meander!
Post by: Palustris on March 05, 2015, 11:49:02 AM
Thought you might like to see what the old homestead is like at this time of year.
A bit bleak at the moment, but there is a bit of colour.

I enjoyed that  Eric - took a cup of tea with me, too!

Nice walk round Eric. You have a good sized garden there.

Actually 2 tabby cats. They are twins. They are dark mackerel striped cats. the third one is a much paler tabby, but she has only been going out for a couple of days so she is not ready for the grand tour just yet.
There are indeed one or two Hellebores out there. Takes about 20 barrow loads when I defoliate them in February.
The Galanthus in the Damson Wood are all the same one, a very uniform sterile clone (well we have never seen seeds on them despite the work of the mining bees).
There are different ones in other parts of the Garden. We try to keep them separate.

This aerial shot was taken in August last year. Puts the slideshow into perspective. Our part is the right hand side of the picture.
