Thank you, Ian, for a very clear and informative guide to erythronium seeds. Most useful just now as I'm sowing seeds from the seed exchange. I'm looking forward to the rest of the book!

Everything we ever needed to know, but were afraid to ask! Also much that I didn't even know I needed to know. I'm beginning to sound like Donald Rumsfeld.
If only all monographs were as thorough. Looking forward to the rest, even though I don't grow Erythroniums! Excellent job, Ian.

Really thorough job Ian - I have enjoyed reading it very much and look forward to the next chapters. On the question of the sand that you use I wonder if you could show a close up of its structure. I am always searching (but not finding) the perfect sand for potting. I've tried concreting sands from builders merchants as well as the usual from garden centres and it is mostly too moisture retentive

Thanks for all your comments, it is good to know that I am on the right track.
Ian check out the link below to a bulb log where I show the sand in some detail.

I have made a note of this and will include that information in the final PDF.

Hi Ian this will come in really handy later on in the year when I sow the erythronium seeds from the seed exchange. Looking forward to the next chapters.
