Title: Bulb Log 34
Post by: Yann on August 22, 2014, 07:48:37 PM
It was a pleasure to discover the Angus coast, great job Ian.
ah precisely i'm on the way to buy a new spade, that's the biggest fleet of spades i've ever seen  ;D

Yann that was only a small section of the spades - thee were hundreds of them rusting away.

That coast is just a tiny fraction of what Scotland has to offer the visitor or resident - so much to explore and enjoy.

For some stunning photos of Scottish sea scenery, please see the lovely blog from our friends, Marit Friberg and her husband Stig from Norway  who made a recent trip to Scotland  and really enjoyed their visit to Orkney: http://rantenhagen.blogspot.no/2014/08/orknyenefor-alltid-vare-hjerter.html (http://rantenhagen.blogspot.no/2014/08/orknyenefor-alltid-vare-hjerter.html)

Marit and Stig visited us, too !  http://rantenhagen.blogspot.no/2014/08/dronningslottog-hagekonge-nummer-1-og.html (http://rantenhagen.blogspot.no/2014/08/dronningslottog-hagekonge-nummer-1-og.html)    8)

Dear Maggi and Ian,
very nice pictures from Marit and Stig from Norway. Next week we go to Scotland for 5 weeks
and perhaps we will find also a lot of nice places as we did before. Scotland is one of our
favourite countrys, what can we say more, you know it, you live there.
Uli

We must hope for fine weather for your visit, Uli!  You will be here at the time of the SRGC "Late Bulb Day" on the 20th September - where we will have two talks from Jim Almond - and also for the Discussion Weekend in early October. Even if you cannot attend the whole event , it would be fantastic to at least have yo visit to see the show and have a drink - or even a pickled gherkin! ;) :-*

Another great bulb log Ian.

I have noticed the compost in undisturbed pots drains more quickly & now I've read your latest log I can see why.
