Title: ID required for Nepal Pea
Post by: kiwi on November 04, 2013, 07:19:26 AM
Please help me for an ID- found in Northern Nepal at around 3500 -4000 metres.
I thought it could be an Oxytropis sp.
Cheers.

Oxytropis williamsii ?
Hmm? Does that not have plain violet , more rounded flower heads and more silvery leaves?   Those dark blotches in the centre are rather lovely ..... hope you find a name.
Was this seen on the trip where you had some grant assistance from the SRGC, Doug?

edit : I see this description mentions "magenta" flowers.... :-\
