Title: Worsleya
Post by: Alex on August 17, 2013, 09:13:50 AM
A nice surprise - this Worsleya procera, which I got as a small rootless plant about six years ago, has flowered. I grow it in a frost-free greenhouse with all the other Crocus, Irises etc., but it sits on a heated propagator base. I repotted it (very carefully) for the first time a few months ago, which may have spurred it into action.

To go from rootless to flowering in six years seems pretty nifty to me - well done, Alex.
The colour is just so unusual and delicate, isn't it?
