Now a couple of habitat photos that wouldn't really show well on the smaller size.
The Aceras anthropophorum - Man Orchid were in several locations. Full sun and shaded in woodland.
I have included some group shots above in the woodland habitat so here is a colony in full sun.

The Anacamptis pyramidalis - Pyramidal Orchid were also out in the open. They weren't difficult to find, they were advertising their presence well.

It was little disappointing to find the Himantoglossum hircinum - Lizard orchid and it was still in bud, it's not as if I can pop along to see it again next week.

Very nice, and what do you mean you cannot pop back to the lizard of course you can. One year I end up doing 3 round trips of 180 miles to see some in flower ;D
-
Errrrrrr it's a 446 mile round trip ;D

I may give you that one.
