Hi all,
I am preparing a talk and including a picture of the P. vailii x flaccida hybrid and have totally forgotten its name. I did find its name at some point but have forgotten which book I looked in.
Here it is growing in a bed of P. vailii
Thanks
Susan

David Nicholson came up with the answer when you posted the plant photo some time ago...

" Primula x vaniana according to Richards "

I see on the Primula World site, where there are photos from Anne Chambers' garden, that the parentage is given a P. flaccida x vialii rather than the other waty round, but it may not matter.

What a modern reply Maggi, I guess there a few families who are not sure which is Mum and which is Dad ::)

Thanks, I knew I had it at one time.
Mine was found in a bed of vailii, but as shelagh says, that might not mean anything.
