I have suggested to Alex in a private email that he tries the American Gesneriad Society: www.gesneriadsociety.org  It now occurs to me that this link  might be of interest to others.  They run a seed exchange on similar lines to our own, but I guess you have to be a member to participate?  The emphasis leans heavily towards the tropical members of the family, or at least it did when I was a member but they were always welcomed our donation of 'alpine' seed.

Yes, I believe you have to be a member - but I can confirm they have seeds of Briggsia aurantiaca and some other hardy Gesneriads though most of them in rather small quantities due to so few people growing them / collecting seed within the group.

Thank you Maureen! I've left my application to the American Gesneriad Society. I was a bit difficult to navigate on their site (I know English is very bad). But I'll try :)

Nate, I do not pretend to have large amount of seeds.

Margaret, I'm still waiting for news from you :)

Alex.... I am very disappointed... there was no Briggsia seed left. Tony Willis was looking also!
I thiought I had got three packets... but it was the wrong number!

But I am in contact with another friend and may perhaps be able to source a leaf for you later in the Spring.
