From the Perthshire SRGC Group:
"Dear Rock Gardeners

Welcome back to our autumn programme of talks!  We hope that you have been enjoying the lovely late summer weather. Our September talk, this coming Tuesday,  is by Margaret Thorne from the Borders and it will be one not to miss, It is a particularly seasonal subject as this is the time of year when we are enjoying some autumn flowering bulbs in the garden.  What better than to see how some of them grow in the wild.  So on Tuesday night, sit down with a cup of tea or coffee and hear all about them from Margaret who is very knowledgeable about these plants and the many islands in the part of the world where they grow.

All those on our usual member email list as well as those previously registered as  "zoom guests" will receive the link.  Our first talk is this coming Tuesday, September 7th at the usual time of 7.30 pm.

Please put the autumn dates below in your diary.  We also have talks arranged for after Christmas, but at the moment we do not know whether these will be by zoom or in person.  We will keep you updated on any developments and news on future events.

The following email is sent on behalf of John Mitchell, convenor of Edinburgh & Lothians Rock Garden Group

Dear members,

The last year has been extremely hard for everyone and I hope now we can see the light at the end of the tunnel and we will be able to get back to some normality. We have put together a lecture programme starting a month later just in case we cannot gather in groups. I am hopeful that we will be allowed to meet and have the chance to see everyone again. I look forward to catching up with you all in October and if any other changes happen, we will email you with an update. I would like to say enjoy the summer but after the deluge at the weekend I pray for sunshine.

John

Subject: Meeting programme change for Edinburgh and the  Lothians Group

Please find below an important message regarding meetings of Edinburgh & Lothians Rock Garden Group. The message is from John Mitchell, the group's convenor.

Dear members,

I am afraid to say that the meetings we organised for this year’s programme will have to be cancelled up to December and hopefully we can resume the meetings in January. Again I am sorry about this but RBGE are still working in bubbles and until this comes to an end we can’t have meetings. I will keep you posted on any news and I look forward to seeing you all in the New Year.

Kind regards,

John

We would like to try and live-stream our physical 2022 meetings via Zoom from the Fraser Centre, but this will  depend on the availability of suitable technology and expertise.
