The RHS's Rock Garden Plant Committee is to host a day devoted to sharing their expertise in growing gentians, a very popular alpine plant. The event will take place on Friday 12 October 2012, at RHS Garden Harlow Carr, Crag Lane, Harrogate, North Yorkshire HG3 1UE.

The full day's programme will comprise a series of talks by internationally acclaimed experts including Harry Jans, founder member of the Dutch Rock Garden Society, lecturer and horticultural consultant Jim Jermyn and Chair of the Rock Garden Plant Committee Kit Grey-Wilson, as well as cultural demonstrations and tours of the garden led by RHS staff and Committee members. This will be a most interesting day for those who wish to learn more about this beautiful plant that is a must for the rock garden.

Tickets for RHS, Alpine Garden Society and Scottish Rock Garden Club members are priced at £35, non-members £43. Both prices include entry into the garden. Lunch is NOT included.



 This event is the day before the Newcastle SRGC/AGS Show at Ponteland, so this may be a great opportunity to attend two events to make a really good weekend break!
